A frequently requested service at Miss Jessie's Salon is Steaming. This service is especially designed for super-dry and damaged hair. Steaming allows our deep treatment to penetrate the cuticle with moist heat. While the cuticle is open the mixture of water, heat and the deep treatment are able to go in and quench the thirst of your parched curls.

Cutting hair can be very intimidating for stylist because curls, kinks and waves can be unpredictable. Sometimes they shrink, swell or even kink up when wet. Many stylists think that wetting the hair will straighten and control the curl so cutting won't be so difficult. Curly, kinky and wavy hair is inherently dry and porous. It needs all the moisture it can get. Because of the dryness, we tend to pile on oils, waxes and silicones to add moisture and to control the curl. The buildup from these products can prevent your hair from breathing, and may cause damage, frizz and dehydration. In addition, if you've had color services done, this too will add to dryness.

Miss Jessie's Salon has a Deep Treatment that restores balance back into the hair by combining a prescribed amount of moisture and protein. Our Deep Treatment penetrates each strand with a two-way moisturizing system which attracts moisture to parched areas as it seals in its inherent lubricants. At Miss Jessie's, we apply our Deep Treatment onto your entire mane. You are placed under a steamer for 20 mins. The steam allows the treatment to penetrate the hair shaft. Now your thirsty hair has been quenched.
