Rod Set Styling 101
As a transitioning curly cutie, I am always searching for the best way to balance out the curly, coily texture of my natural roots, with the chemically straightened portion of my ends. I've tried both hot rollers and curling irons to create this balance in texture, but this always left my hair looking unnatural, kind of like little Orphan Annie meets Rick James.

Also, the extreme heat of these styling tools caused a lot of breakage and damage to my already fragile ends. It all just seemed like a lot of time and effort dedicated to styling, to ultimately not get the natural, soft, supple curly results I really wanted. This is why I decided to invest in a flexible rod set. Requiring minimal heat, these soft, foam, tubes sculpt the perfect curl in no time, and you don't need to be a transitioner to use them, as they work great for every texture on the curly spectrum, from waves to kinks. All you need is a little Miss Jessie's to reinforce your curl's shape and add nourishing dollop moisturize.
